Unfortunately, many have a misunderstanding of what Remy Hair Extensions are. Some feel Remy hair extensions refers to a particular Hair extensions brand. This could not be furthest from the truth. Remy hair extensions refer to the way hair extensions are manufactured. Remy hair made in such a way that all the hair strands run in the same exact direction from the root to the tip, resulting in a silky-smooth finish that does not tangle and requires much less maintenance.
In contrast, Non-Remy hair extensions are manufactured in such a way that hair follicles do not all run in the same direction. Initially, they may feel smooth and look beautiful but can eventually become matted and tangled. Unfortunately, many hair salons do not explain this to their new clients during the hair extensions consultation and therefore, the client receives a service that he or she does not fully understand.
